PROBLEM STATEMENTS

1. UN SDG 11

Develop a solution or platform that addresses one or more of the following urban sustainability challenges, including Sustainable Energy Solutions, Green Infrastructure and Urban Planning.

  • Sustainable Energy Solutions: Design an innovative solution that promotes renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices in urban areas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize reliance on fossil fuels, and enhance energy resilience.
  • Urban Mobility and Transportation: Create a solution that improves transportation systems, enhances connectivity, and encourages sustainable mobility options, such as public transportation, shared mobility services, and active transportation modes, to reduce congestion, air pollution, and carbon emissions.

2. UN SDG 12

Develop a solution or platform that addresses one or more of the following challenges related to sustainable consumption and production, with a focus on Brunei.

  • Sustainable Waste Management: Design a solution that promotes efficient waste management practices, including waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal, to minimize the environmental impact of waste generation and encourage a circular economy approach.
  • Circular Economy Business Models: Design a solution that promotes circular economy business models, such as product sharing, product-as-a-service, and resource recovery systems, fostering resource efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable consumption practices.
