Synopsis:

The Virtual Production Masterclass is supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (@IMDAsg).

Virtual production is a production method that uses software tools to combine live-action footage and computer graphics in real-time.

It is a unique intersection of physical and digital filmmaking. VP blends video game technology with filmmaking techniques into the pre-production and production process. The introduction of VP enables freedom for iteration and experimentation earlier on in the pipeline than previous technology allowed.

The uncertainty of pushing aesthetic choices to post-production is reduced because the imagery created is closer, if not identical, to the final output.

Industry Challenge:

Our industry is rapidly evolving with new technologies and techniques changing how content is produced and consumed.

One of the most significant recent developments in the industry is the emergence of virtual production, which use real-time technology to create digital environments and effects in live- action filming.

Virtual production can revolutionize how films, TV shows, and other forms of entertainment are produced, making them faster, more cost-effective, and more creative.

The timeline for virtual production is increasingly shortened, and the client requirement is increasingly demanding.

However, we need to educate more individuals on the importance of Virtual Production and, bridge the gap between traditional production professionals and Virtual Production workflow.
